About Us
Lotus Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization based in California, USA and Beijing, China. As the oldest and most experienced provider of homestay as well as one of the leading study-abroad organizations in China, we offer quality Chinese Immersion programs and provide high standard homestay accommodations at the lowest possible cost for Mandarin learners and international travelers.

In doing so, we work to fulfill our mission to foster intercultural communications while at the same time giving support to charity organizations and activities in a variety of fields such as international relief and environmental protection.

Our Mission
The mission of the Lotus Educational Foundation is to foster international cultural exchange and help restore China's threatened cultural heritage. In doing this work we support a variety of charity organizations such as those working for social relief and environmental protection.
Part of Lotus's mission is to help rebuild China's traditional culture, large portions of which have sadly been destroyed in recent times by the vast changes taking place in China. We regularly organize seminars and lectures about traditional Chinese culture and invite our host families and students to join us. At the same time, overseas students and travelers can learn about traditional Chinese culture from our host families.
