Lotus Educational Foundation Scholarships
2010 Spring Scholarship: Now Accepting Applications!
Each year Lotus awards 1-2 full scholarships to students wishing to study Chinese at Beijing Language and Culture University for one academic year.
The scholarship includes BLCU tuition and accommodation provided by Lotus.
Criteria:
Applicants must be college students or college graduates showing an interest in traditional Chinese culture and community service in China. Previous work experience with a non-profit organization is preferred, though not required. Students who are awarded this scholarship must agree to work part-time for Lotus 15-20 hours per week.
How to apply:
Please fill in the application form and provide the following documents:
- Two letters of recommendation
- Transcripts of your most advanced level of study
- Copy of diploma of your most advanced level of study
- Study Plan in China.
- Photocopy of your passport

Gilman International Scholarship Program
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Institute of International Education. This program seeks to lower barriers to undergraduate study abroad by offering scholarships to students with financial need, and we encourage those underrepresented in study abroad to apply. The award is up to $5,000 for semester or academic year programs.
