Host Families |
|
The Chinese people are famous for their hospitability throughout the world. Our
program offers you a great opportunity to live with a Chinese family
and experience authentic Chinese culture while enjoying the Olympics. By staying
with our host
families you will not only get a "home-away-from-home" feeling, but also
be engaged in an intercultural experience that you can NEVER get from hotels.
Each of our host families has been interviewed by our staff and a security check
is completed before a family is accepted. The host families are well-educated people
and most of them can speak English. In addition to our on-site staff, the
host families will also assist you by providing all necessary information
and offer you first-hand help while you are a guest in their homes.
All the host families are close to convenient public transportation routes to
the Olympic venues, and most are within 30 min. Each family has the amenities you would
find in a Western home, including TV, DVD player, computer with DSL, refrigerator,
microwave, washing machine, air-conditioning and toilets with 24-hour hot
water. Your room will be fully furnished with a bed, desk, wardrobe (or closet)
and air-conditioning. Families in the Standard and Top End categories are located in nice communities
and usually have swimming pools, tennis courts and nearby supermarkets.
