Introduction to Chinese Characters

Basic knowledge in Chinese characters, such as Chinese character strokes, radicals, components and structures. To enhance students' ability in writing, reading and recognizing Chinese characters.

Chinese Movies and TV Programs

2

To help students know more about china through movies and TV programs, which give a vivid and colorful presentation of China 's history, culture, customs and traditions, diet and landscape.

Understanding Chinese Arts and Culture

2

Students can enjoy traditional Chinese culture and arts by learning calligraphy, paper cutting, Taichi (Shadow Boxing), seal cutting, folk songs and dances.

Certificates

Beginners at Level I will be conferred the Certificate for Elementary Chinese Training after they conclude one academic year's study and acquire 32 credits as required. Beginners at Level II will be conferred the Certificate for Pre-intermediate Chinese Training after they conclude one academic year's study and acquire 28 credit points as required.
