Our One-on-One tutoring program offers participants the opportunity to learn Mandarin Chinese through a curriculum tailored to each individual student's needs and language goals.
This program is very flexible and available all year round. It offers participants the opportunity to learn Chinese when, where, and how they desire. Our tutors are native Chinese university graduates with at least two years experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and most teach at renowned universities in China such as Beijing language and Culture University, Tsinghua University, Peking University and Beijing Normal University. They will customize individualized study plans based on students' Chinese levels and desired study fields. As a supplement to text book work, tutors may also conduct classes in “the real world”, while taking public transportation, shopping, or going to a restaurant, in order to practice communication skills.

The fee of One-on-One tutoring for high school students is US$790/week.
Price includes:
- Homestay with a family with teenager of similar age as well as a private bedroom, daily breakfast & dinner, computer and DSL service
- 20 hours/week personal tutoring
- Textbooks and other materials
- Airport pickup and drop off
- Assistance and supervision provided by our on-site staff
- Excursions and activities organized by Lotus
- Orientation Package: Chinese-English-Chinese dictionary, map of Beijing and phone card of 100RMB
- Welcome dinner prepared by the host family
- 24-hours assistance and supervision, provided by our on-site staff

To apply for our One-on-One tutoring program, there is an application fee of US$ 250.
Please note: If students join the One-on-One tutoring program (not in combination with any other program but rather by itself) between June 25 and August 25, students will be charged an additional USD$200/week as all activities listed are guaranteed to be included.
